Care Visions Fostering was established in 2005 and has grown to become one of the largest independent not-for-profit fostering agencies in Scotland. We support circa 90 foster carers and 140 young people across Scotland and pride ourselves on providing a high-quality service.

Care Visions is keen to continue to recruit foster carers across communities in Scotland to ensure that children are placed with families who can meet their needs and promote positive outcomes.

We are therefore looking for an experienced social worker to undertake Form F Assessments using the CORAM BAAF Framework.

Role:

Form F Assessor (Aberdeen and Central Belt Scotland)

Pay - £1800 per completed Assessment plus travelling expenses

Hours – As required

Contract – Self Employed

Location - Home based with travel (Aberdeen and Central Scotland)

Main Requirements:

• Relevant Social Work qualification
• Minimum of 2 years post qualifying experience working in childcare or fostering
• Scottish Social Services Council Registration
• Requirement to obtain Professional Indemnity Insurance
• Knowledge of fostering regulations
• Good analytical and organisational skills
• Availability to travel and work flexible hours

Core Tasks

• Undertake Assessment of the potential foster carers
• Organise Home visits/meetings with referees/review all statutory checks required
• Completion of Report and clear recommendation to Panel
• Attend Panel with the family
• Be available for Supervision and Progress Updates
