After making an enquiry and any subsequent phone calls, if we both feel it would be helpful to progress discussions, we will look to arrange an initial home visit with you.
By this point we hope that you know a bit more about us as an agency and how we can best support you on your fostering journey.
The first Home Visit is arranged for a suitable time for you. This visit is great opportunity for us to learn more about your personal circumstances and to advise you how fostering might work for you.
A Supervising Social Worker will visit your home, answer any questions on fostering, and be able to have further discussions about how it might affect you and your family. We want to make sure that if you make the decision to foster, that it will be the right decision for you and your wider family.
As a child-centred organisation, it also allows us a further opportunity to understand the qualities that you can bring to the role and how you can use them to best support a child or young person’s needs.
