The Kingdom of Fife is well known for its iconic landmarks including the Queensferry Crossing and being the home of golf. We know the people of Fife share our passionate belief that all children who cannot live at home deserve a loving foster family. We are looking for foster families across the county of Fife in towns such as Dunfermline, Kirkcaldy, Glenrothes to invest in looking after your most vulnerable children.
Care Visions Fostering Scotland is an independent agency dedicated to fostering and we have children at the heart of every decision. That’s great news because we believe that getting the very best outcomes for children now, pave the way for their success in years to come.
Our children and young people range in age from 0-18. Sometimes they may need to live with a foster family for a few weeks duration but sometimes they need longer term support if they are unable to return home. Children are referred to us from your local authority, and we work in partnership to ensure the very best matching of foster carers for the young people in our care.
Our team of professionals are experts in all things fostering ; Our experienced social workers and therapeutic family workers, will be with you on every step of your fostering journey and at the point a child is coming to live with you we offer wrap around support from the team.
Want to know more about us and what we do? Have a look at our Who We Are section which gives you an insight into Care Visions Fostering Scotland and everything we stand for. We pride ourselves in giving the very best support to our foster families, be it through our comprehensive training and development programme, local support groups or 24/7 guidance and advice.
We know that families come in all shapes and sizes. No formal qualifications are required to become a foster carer, but be reassured that we will give you the tools and training to build on your own life experience to provide the very best care for our young people.
Within Fife there is a need for foster families who can look after children of primary school age and above, and those who can also care for brothers and sisters to ensure they can stay together. Our Foster Carers tell us that fostering is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things they have ever done in their lives.
Applications are welcomed, regardless of age, gender, marital status, religious persuasion, sexual identity or nationality. We need caring people, with the life experience, time and stability, to offer a child in need a loving family home.
As the cost of living increases and with life post Covid, we understand that there is more to consider when considering a foster child. Whatever your situation, you could consider short term fostering to see if fostering is for you. This can potentially be a doorway into longer term fostering if you wanted to consider this, or just stick with short term fostering if that is better for you.
We can help you to achieve your goal if you are able to speak to us regularly every week so that we can move you along your journey quickly. We use phone, Whatsapp, Facetime, Zoom - whatever works best for you.
