Angus - home of the Arbroath Abbey, Smokies and Aberdeen Angus beef. Maybe you've playing a round golf at Carnoustie? What we do know is that people in the community share our passionate belief that the children of today are the future for tomorrow. We are looking for foster families in the county of Angus to invest in looking after your most vulnerable children.
Care Visions Fostering Scotland is an independent agency dedicated to fostering who have an established group of foster families in your area. That’s great news because we believe that support from others in your community and localised services are key to becoming a successful foster carer.
Our children and young people range in age from 0-18. Sometimes our children and young people need to live with a foster family for a few weeks duration but sometimes they need longer term support if they are unable to return home. Children are referred to us from your local authority, and we work in partnership to ensure the very best matching of foster carers for the young people in our care.
Our team of professionals are experts in all things fostering; our experienced social workers and therapeutic family workers, will be with you on every step of your fostering journey.
Want to know more about us and what we do? Have a look at our Who We Are section which gives you an insight into Care Visions Fostering Scotland and everything we stand for. We pride ourselves in giving the very best support to our foster families, be it through our comprehensive training programme, local support groups or 24/7 guidance and advice.
We know that families come in all shapes and sizes. No formal qualifications are required to become a foster carer, but we’ll give you the tools and training to build on your own life experience to provide the very best care for our young people.
Within Angus there is a need for foster families who can look after children of primary school age and above, and those who can also care for brothers and sisters to ensure they can stay together. Our Foster Carers tell us that fostering is one of the most rewarding and fulfilling things they have ever done in their lives.
Applications are welcomed, regardless of age, gender, marital status, religious persuasion, sexual identity or nationality in Angus. We need caring people, with the life experience, time and stability, to offer a child in need a loving family home.
We recognise that with life post Covid and with the cost of living increases there is more to consider than ever before when fostering a child. Short term fostering is a way of seeing if fostering is for you, and if this does work for you then it can lead you into long term fostering. If you just want to stay with short term fostering only this is fine also.
If you are thinking of fostering fairly soon we can help facilitate this goal if you are able to communicate with us regularly every week so that we can help push you along on your journey. We can use a mix of phone, Whatsapp, Facetime, Zoom – whatever technology suits you so that we can guide you in the process of becoming a foster parent at a pace that works for you.
We're Care Visions Fostering Scotland. It’s time for you to hold your hands up if you are ready to foster! We're proud to be here for you on every step of your journey.
If you are ready, then so are we. There is no obligation to foster if you start talking to us, we just simply want to assist you in your journey. So why not get in touch today and lets talk
