Care Visions Fostering Scotland – Falkirk Panel (meets on Mondays)

Care Visions Fostering Scotland are recruiting Independent Panel members for our fostering panel which is based in Falkirk and sits on a Monday.

What the fostering panel does

The fostering panel provides independent oversight of the recruitment, assessment and review of foster carers and makes reasoned decisions on their suitability to foster.

Who we’re looking for

Applicants should have experience – either professionally, personally or both – of the placement of children in adoptive or foster families, or of children being cared for away from their birth family.

  • Work in education, health or social care
  • Experience as a foster carer
  • Personal experience of being looked after as a child or young person

What you’ll bring

Good listening and communication skills are essential along with the ability to make an assessment based on the written and oral information presented to the Panel in order to discuss and make decisions in a balanced and informed manner.
