More About Our Guest:

Mary Sharpe is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Reward Foundation, Love, Sex and the Internet, a Scottish health education charity that explores the science of relationships, the brain’s reward system and the effects of internet pornography on health, behaviour and wellbeing. Since founding the charity in 2014, she has led the development of evidence-based education for schools, parents and professionals, and has presented on these issues to audiences in healthcare, criminal justice and education for more than 12 years.

Mary was born and educated in Scotland and studied at the University of Glasgow, graduating with an MA in French and German with psychology and moral philosophy, followed by a law degree. She practised as a lawyer for 15 years, working in criminal and family law in Scotland and at the European Commission in Brussels. She later spent ten years at the University of Cambridge, where she tutored students and staff on sustaining peak performance through workshops grounded in psychology and neuroscience, and supported enterprise students.

She has published widely on health, law and behavioural addiction, contributed to government consultations, and spoken at conferences internationally. Mary is known for her engaging, discussion-based teaching style and her commitment to translating complex research into practical understanding.
