Care Visions Family Talk Live From The Grange Manor

Protecting Young People from Harmful Online Content

This live panel event brought together Professor Alexis Jay, Lyndsay McDade and host Linda de Caestecker to unpack how exploitation is evolving in the digital world, and what we can do to better understand and protect the young people in our lives.

What does exploitation look like in 2025?

It’s not always obvious. It can happen through a screen, behind closed doors, or right under our noses. From exposure to pornography and online grooming, to coercion through social media and peer pressure, young people are navigating risks that previous generations never imagined.

In our first live panel event, Professor Alexis Jay, a leading expert in child protection, Lyndsay McDade (Crimestoppers Fearless Lead), and host Linda de Caestecker, Public Health Doctor to look at exploitation in the digital world, and what we can do to protect the young people.

This event has now taken place, please see the video below for a recording of the event.
