Behind the Headlines - Tackling Youth Violence Together

Care Visions Family Talk with Karyn McCluskey

Knife crime and youth violence aren't just about headlines, they’re symptoms of deeper issues: poverty, trauma, exclusion, and a lack of opportunity. So, how do we respond in ways that actually make a difference?

In this wide ranging live talk from Falkirk Stadium, Karyn McCluskey, lead of Community Justice Scotland, explores contributing and developing societal factors around that can negatively impact young people today and how we offer support in this changing world.

Speaking with Dr Linda de Caestecker, Karyn shares powerful insights from her career; from shaping Scotland’s public health approach, helping tackle violence, to building community-led initiatives that foster empathy, opportunity and hope.

This event has now taken place. Please find below the video from the talk and also the audio podcast below.
