Dr Anna Machin is an evolutionary anthropologist, writer and broadcaster, internationally recognised for her research into human relationships, love and fatherhood. A pioneer in the science of fatherhood, her work combines insights from both the biological and social sciences to better understand how we connect with one another.

Anna spent more than 12 years at the University of Oxford researching fatherhood, human love and social relationships. Her current work explores topics including child development, fatherhood, neurodiversity and the impact of emerging technologies such as AI on our closest relationships.

She is the author of the popular science books Life of Dad and Why We Love, and has appeared across international media including the BBC, NPR and Hulu. Anna also hosts the award-winning How We Are Wired podcast and is known for making complex science engaging, relatable and accessible to all audiences.
